The Medical Advice Hasn't Changed

Every day, physicians, nurses, dentists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals give patients the same advice because it works.

Wash your hands.
Keep wounds clean.
Bathe regularly.
Wear clean clothing.
Practice good hygiene.

These simple instructions reduce infection, support recovery, improve mental well-being, and help people heal.

But they all depend on one thing many of us take for granted:

Reliable access to clean water.

Approx. 39% of Wichita Falls residents struggle financially - working multiple jobs, raising families, trying to make ends meet. That's 39,000 lives, average. And 14,000 of them are living below the poverty line.

According to research by United Way of Texas

For many households, a trip to the laundromat isn't a simple errand. It can cost $20–$40 for a week's worth of laundry. When budgets are stretched by rent, groceries, fuel, and utilities, laundry is often postponed—not because families don't care, but because they simply can't afford it.

The consequences reach far beyond dirty clothes.

  • Children worry about going to school.

  • Parents go to work in uniforms they couldn't wash.

  • Job interviews are missed.

  • Health declines.

Dignity erodes.

Clean Clothes Shouldn't be a luxury

At DignitySOS, we believe clean clothes shouldn't be a luxury.

That's why we're building Texoma's first Mobile Laundry Unit—a free, mobile laundromat that will travel throughout our community, providing washers, dryers, detergent, and dignity to individuals and families who need them most.

Just as you help patients heal, you can help ensure they have access to the clean water, hygiene, and clean clothing that support recovery long after they leave your care.

Why We're Different

For nearly a year, DignitySOS has delivered free hot showers throughout Texoma, restoring dignity one person at a time. We've learned something important: A shower changes someone's day.

Clean clothes change how they face the world.

The Mobile Laundry Unit is the next step in that mission.

immediate impact

Every contribution helps purchase and equip the washers, dryers, plumbing, water systems, and supplies needed to bring mobile laundry service to our community.

Whether you are a physician, healthcare practice, hospital, clinic, or simply someone who believes recovery should not be limited by a lack of basic resources, your gift becomes part of something much bigger than laundry.

It becomes an investment in healing.

An investment in dignity.

An investment in a healthier community.

Continue the Care

Today, you have an opportunity to support more than a mobile laundry program.

You can help ensure that patients have access to the clean water, hygiene, and clean clothing that support recovery long after they leave the hospital, clinic, or physician's office.

Please make your gift today and help launch Texoma's first mobile hygiene and laundry program.

Healthcare begins before the waiting room.

Recovery doesn't end at discharge.
